HCMC - FPT Academy International (FAI) signed a cooperation agreement with Saolatek enterprise, promoting drone training linked to practice, expanding internship and job opportunities for students.

The event is a step in FAI's strategy in developing a training ecosystem closely linked with practice, thereby contributing to the formation of a technology workforce with high application capacity, ready to participate in new technology fields in Vietnam.

"This is also the strategic orientation of mastering core technology of FPT Group," the unit representative emphasized.

Cooperation content in the first phase focuses on the following goals:

  • Linking the training program with the actual needs of UAV enterprises
  • Expanding internship opportunities and experiencing the actual working environment for students
  • Developing high-quality UAV human resources for the domestic market

The program emphasizes hands-on practice so learners work directly with UAV systems.

At the signing ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Hong Hanh - Director of FPT Academy International said that cooperating with Saolatek is a strategic step, helping the training program follow market needs while creating conditions for students to access the actual working environment right from when they are still in school.

From the business perspective, Mr. Tran Anh Tuấn - CEO of Saolatek, Vice President and CEO of the Vietnam Aerospace Technology and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Network, assessed that the cooperation is the beginning of high-quality UAV human resource training, contributing to the formation of a technology workforce capable of quickly meeting the practical requirements of businesses.

Along with the signing activities, FPT Academy International implemented the Drone System Design and Operation program from 6 to 12 months in the direction of intensive practice, aiming to help learners master theory and be able to directly create and operate a complete drone system.

In the first semester, learners access comprehensively from aerodynamic principles, system structure, components, sensors to assembly, connection, and equipment calibration procedures; at the same time, they are trained in flight safety and risk management.

Moving to the next semester, the program is advanced with intensive operational contents such as autonomous flight path programming, application of cameras and sensors for image processing, building real-time obstacle detection and avoidance systems, and optimizing energy efficiency during operation.

At the end of the roadmap, learners can design and implement a complete autonomous delivery drone system, simulating closely with practical problems that businesses are applying.

Students learning drone technology
Learners gain skills in design, operations, and real-world drone scenarios.

In the context of drone technology being widely applied in logistics, agriculture, filming, or monitoring, the demand for human resources with practical skills is increasing.

FPT Academy International and Saolatek expect that the cooperation will contribute to shortening the gap between training and recruitment needs, helping students participate in the labor market early.

In addition to providing knowledge, the training model linked with businesses will continue to create conditions for learners to accumulate experience, build practical working capacity, and improve adaptability in a fast-changing technology environment.
